One of Bellevue’s Hidden Jewels

When potential condominium buyers start their search throughout Bellevue’s myriad of condominium choices, they often do not have information, or even know about the more established complexes. Most of the press coverage is devoted to new construction and the busy downtown Bellevue lifestyle those communities offer.

When potential condominium buyers start their search throughout Bellevue’s myriad of condominium choices, they often do not have information, or even know about the more established complexes. Most of the press coverage is devoted to new construction and the busy downtown Bellevue lifestyle those communities offer.

For those who want to be near – but not on top of – all that the downtown area has to offer, one well kept secret is The Parkplace condominium at 11011 NE 12th St. Located across from McCormick Park to the north and Bellevue Regional Library to the west, this steel and concrete “jewel” reminds residents and visitors of a Manhattan style look and feel. From the chandeliered, traditionally furnished lobby with marble tile flooring to the mirrored elevator, you’ll sense a touch of gracious living reminiscent of a bygone era. Common hallways have furnished seating areas on each floor and a warm, welcoming feel. Homes have generously sized rooms and several are on 2 levels. Although they rarely become available, they are a real find when they do. Most of the homes have large, private storage rooms and there is actually guest parking – a real rarity in the downtown Bellevue area these days.

Within a few blocks, residents can dine with an Italian accent at Andiamo Ristorante Italiano or choose the soothing ambiance and feeling of zen at Flo Japanese Restaurant and Sake Bar. Stroll a little farther and you’ll be at Vertigo Lounge and Grill – the Eastside’s newest hotspot for entertainment, food, dancing and a friendly pub style atmosphere. Make the most of those rainy days at the library, Barnes & Noble or numerous nearby Starbuck’s. Looking to the south, the new Bravern shopping area will soon be welcoming shoppers to the likes of Nieman Marcus, Jimmy Choo, Hermes and much more!

It’s well worth the time and effort to explore these little jewels of condominium complexes before you buy. You never know when you might find a real gem!
