Buying Home vs. Dorm for Students
An increasing number of parents of college-bound offspring are purchasing a condo or small house in the area of the college for their student’s residence while attending the college or university. In some cases, it appears to be more cost-effective than paying for room and board in a dorm.

I have been tracking ratios and absorption rates for downtown Bellevue condos (in addition to other eastside areas) since about August of 2006. I separate out the number of new construction from resale condominiums and have seen an interesting trend in the past several months.
